Prohibition on the import of domestically produced food

Regarding the import of smuggled chewing gum or according to some media with the taste of death, Mohammad Alizadeh stated: Since 2016, no license has been issued for the import of food and beverage products that are produced in the country and adequately meet the needs of the market. .
In further explanation, he said: The mentioned items are not even in the list of permitted imported products according to the laws and approvals of border and seamen.
Alizadeh added: It is possible to import such products in free zones according to the regulations of those zones; After reviewing and performing the relevant tests and confirming the health of the product, the Food and Drug Administration of the Free Zones will issue a clearance and consumption permit.
He emphasized: Any kind of import outside of the mentioned regulations is considered as smuggling and will be dealt with by the deputy health department.
